Fruity Pigs!

Once we finished our work sheets for the day, which included Mistic learning to write a cursive "i", we decided to have some fun with scissors, glue, and markers. Since we've been studying the Fruits of the Spirit we each made a "fruit" as remembrance to "be a fruit". I got the idea from: Fruit Faces. Nick (and Isaiah) did a little lesson while the girls colored and glued.

Our next "section" of school was about the 3 Little Pigs. I got a lot of craft ideas, as well as the actual story from DLTK "Pigs". I use a lot of DLTK's stuff, it's a great site and I highly recommend it! Anyway, we went on a walk to gather stuff, like pine straw, sticks, and rocks (bricks). As you can see from the pictures we had a lot of fun! We built the houses, tried blowing them down, and then made our own pig! You can turn anything into something that has a lot of interactment!

Everyone is learning and having so MUCH fun. Love your fruit of the spirit.

Not sure if this helps you or not...but as you spoke of your cursive letter i...the thought of making igloos out of sugar cubes came to mind. You could use royal icing (thick frosting) to hold it together.

Nice to meet you!
