Home Education

We are still getting into a routine and probably won't have it down pat until after we move. No school happened on Monday since we traveled this past weekend. Tuesday was a simple day. I borrowed a book from the library and we read a few pages from it. It gave us a place to start with discussion. Those pages dealt with being healthy and how important it is for your heart to be healthy. Thanks to Google, I was able to show the girls what a beating heart looked like. They thought it was pretty neat! Oh the wonders of the internet. We also did some of that book today, a section about grooming. Keeping our hair and body clean and then of course, our teeth. It just so happened that it was bedtime and time to brush our teeth! Perfect timing!!!

Our memory verse remained the same this week, but I think we'll be able to move on next week. We added a few more letters to our alphabet- now trying to sign A-J, as well as the sign for "please" and "thank you" (see below).

A new subject was added this week, as well as a new "teacher". Daddy is doing Social Studies and so far it's something all the kids get to do. They talked about the community and towns! Then they each had to draw a picture of their family.

Our story time book for this week was:

Mistic is still working on her cursive, attempting the little u. Faith is working on strengthening her fine motor skills as well as attempting writing some of her letters. AJ is enjoying her numbers and any chance she gets to color or glue. Today she got to glue some cotton balls onto her "two" sheep. She loved it!

It sounds like you're started off on another good week in the homeschooling world. It looks like your children are loving it, and that is how it should be :)
