Since December, we have been having SO much fun!!! Here's a look at what we've been up to!
We started the month by making a paper chain to countdown the days until Christmas. Only this wasn't just any paper chain... This was a missionary prayer chain! We listed 24 missionaries from different states and countries and committed to pray for them daily! We've enjoyed this immensely and will do it again next year!
We got creative with our paper work. We took to the park when it was only 27 degrees and did a nature study! Tons of trees were around which led to drawing and writing! Isaiah enjoyed doing rainbow letters and numbers, but his attention span was short!
We went to the parade... and the temp was only in the teens! We've come a long ways from last year when we thought our southern blood would freeze any time the temps hit under 40 degrees!
We made clay ornaments and had SO much fun decorating them!
We decorated our tree! It's our second year having a live tree and I'm happy to say that in spite of it FLYING off the ROOF of our VAN on the way home, it looks BEAUTIFUL!!! And it's perfect for our homemade ornaments!
We've colored, baked cookies and other goodies, drank a lot of hot chocolate, practiced for a youth Christmas program, and watched tons of Christmas specials on TV together!
But wait! The fun's not over!!! We're going caroling with the girl scouts, enjoying our Christmas services at church, having a Christmas music dance party, finishing our Christmas shopping and wrapping, having a family sleepover/movie night, throwing a birthday party for Jesus, and going to look at Christmas lights!
